John McWhinnie @ Glenn Horowitz Bookseller is pleased to announce a unique exhibition of works by Richard Phillips titled Point of Purchase. The show opens at our East Hampton location with a reception on July 16th, from 6-8pm, and runs through August 8th, 2011. Phillips extends his brand of artmaking into the non-gallery world, colonizing commercial space, manipulating products and displays, from album covers and posters to designer handbags and beach towels. With works ranging from 1999 through 2011, Point of Purchase is the first full-scale presentation of these commercial interventions.
