Project No. 8 / Patrick Parrish / Tom Slaughter

Friday, July 25 - Sunday, August 3

East Hampton Gallery | 87 Newtown Lane

Glenn Horowitz is pleased to announce Grey Area’s latest summer presentation at our East Hampton gallery, on view from July 25th to August 3rd, with an opening reception on Friday the 25th, from 6-9 pm.

Elizabeth Beer and Brian Janusiak from Project No. 8 will bring their unique aesthetic—focused here on “play”—to the front space. Embracing the summer spirit, they will bring a selection of pieces that help facilitate happiness and fun, including design objects, vintage finds, and special collaborations with Wax Magazine, Print All Over Me, Arjuna, Quit Mad Stop, Jane D’Arensbourg, and Small Trades Co.

Known for his selection of art, unusual furniture, and lighting, Patrick Parrish salutes the Hamptons’ long-lasting love affair with modern art with a selection of breath-taking marble sculpture and burlap collage paintings by Hanna Eshel in the mezzanine.

Last but not least, fifteen Tom Slaughter watercolors on paper will be displayed on the salon wall. The selection is pulled from Drawings on Hotel Stationery, a series of studies Slaughter began in 2007 showing women in various state of undress, all rendered on different hotel stationery from around the globe.

To accompany the installations, Grey Area will also present a selection of new pieces by Christian Wassman, Aguiñiga Design, and more.
